Thomas established ONLINECITY.IO in 1999 and is responsible for laying out the general direction for GatewayAPI. Thomas has abundant energy when it comes to optimizing GatewayAPI where he values high quality. Thomas is 100% the biggest fan of our customers!
Birol is co-owner of ONLINECITY.IO and GatewayAPI, and contributes with a flair for business, strategy and customer care. Continuous developing of GatewayAPI is a major passion of his, where he, among other things, has built a phenomenal support -and onboarding department in Odense.
Martin is co-owner of ONLINECITY.IO and GatewayAPI and is in charge of finance and sales. Martin loves to get involved in every aspect of our beloved customers’ businesses. He’s highly energetic and a great team player.
Peter has extensive sales experience, both from the SMS industry and outside the SMS industry, which he draws on to get companies worldwide to choose GatewayAPI.com as their preferred SMS gateway. Furthermore, Peter is in charge for partnerships and key accounts at GatewayAPI.
Morten is a seasoned coder and old hand at front end development. Morten takes pride in creating great usability that upholds the most recent web development standards.
Mathias is always smiling and is a favorite among our customers. Like Ray Donovan, he is constantly ready to fix our customers’ problems and needs. Mathias is also a hardcore crossfitter who can do push-ups upside down and carry all of us out of the building should a fire occur!
Morten goes all in when at the office, and is not afraid to plunge into unfamiliar territory. His focus as a Key Account Manager is on keeping existing customers satisfied and getting new customers on board. Morten appreciates the outdoor life, and in addition to living close to the sea, he also have triathlon and golf among his leisure activities.
Building on years of experience from successful software startups, Jeppe tackles the hard software engineering challenges head on. Jeppe has a “lets get things done” attitude, and a proactive mind. He has a strong passion for science fiction and red wine.
At GatewayAPI all skills can come into play. As well as being a fantastic backend developer, Esben is also our in-house gin expert, who gets the office party going by serving extremely tasty (and strong) gin-based cocktails.
Jari pulls in new technologies, and wrestles with them until he masters their practical application. Jari takes pride in creating optimal user experiences for customers as well as administrators.
Steffen is the man who makes sure all the underlying and hidden technologies are running smoothly. He is responsible for systems development in Go and Python, network design, system administration and IT security. In his spare time, Steffen loves to play guitar and explore different genres of music.
Anders started out as a supporter in ONLINECITY.IO but now works full-time as a Full Stack Developer. Anders feels at home in most places and has an eye for new opportunies and solutions where he, among other things, is in charge of our partnership with Integromat.
Tjalfe Møller’s focus is on our operations, where he has a penchant for automating – both the daily work and to ensure that potential problems are handled immediately. When Tjalfe is not toying around with advanced systems, he can be seen in a completely different setting driving a tractor on the family farm during harvest season. Allegedly, he is in the process of investigating how that task can also be automated to a greater degree.
Lasse holds a degree in Computer Science and has a flair for new technologies as well as great-looking UI, where the design language Material Design from Google and Vue.js are among his favorites. When Lasse is not coding, he is on the airsoft field with full tactical gear.
Thor loves to explore new technologies and create state-of-art web applications and user interfaces. He is particularly passionate about interaction design, user experience and user-centered design. He has previously worked in the robotics industry, and otherwise likes to spend his free time on programming projects and classical piano when he has the time.
Dennis knows the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) like the back of his hand, ensuring that GatewayAPI as well as employees comply with the guidelines. He also manages IT security, ISAE 3000, preparation of contracts, contract management and making sure that all details are in place. Ordnung muss sein!
Mark’s goal in ONLINECITY.IO is to give you the best experience possible on GatewayAPI.com via intuitive and smooth UX. In addition, he provides ongoing coordination on the marketing team.
Morten is an old man in a young man’s body. Morten combines a penchant for copywriting with a great deal of technical knowledge about a number of tools and systems, including Google Ads and Analytics, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, whereby he helps to ensure a steady customer influx. Leisure activities include do-it-yourself projects, book-reading and cultural experiences.
In addition to being a great gamer, Jack has a keen sense on how to design modern and good-looking interfaces, which benefits all of our platforms. In other contexts Jack is used to being teased for rooting for Chelsea F.C., but has quickly learned that at GatewayAPI, it matters a whole lot more which team you root for in CS:GO!

Angelica is responsible for creating good-looking and easy-to-understand educational and promotional videos for GatewayAPI. She loves to tell a good story and often spends extra time finding a creative angle on the subject.
Casper is eager to make sure that customers are happy and he is passionate about providing software that makes a difference in day-to-day operations. His free time is spent playing football at an absolutely amateur level where he sometimes experiences that his motor skills aren’t that great.
Danila is extremely skilled in UX design and has an amazing ability to combine beautiful design with high usability – they actually don’t have to exclude each other. Danila has settled down in Denmark but has over the years worked for countless brands abroad.
After several years of Red Bull induced self-employment, Hans joined our team in 2006. Hans is the architect behind GatewayAPI.com, and a gifted C++ & Python Software Engineer. Although he changed to another position, he still serves in an advisory role and checks in for coffee from time to time.

At GatewayAPI, I have really had the opportunity to strengthen my skills. Being green within your profession, and then getting a management that has great confidence in one’s competencies and invests in one’s further development – that is worth a lot!
When I started in GatewayAPI, there was a well-designed introductory course. I am a big fan of the team spirit in the office as well as the different events. I like that there is always a clear plan for the tasks and that new technologies are constantly being incorporated.
When I joined the company, I did not quite know which direction I was going career-wise. I started out as a supporter, but quickly found out that I had a talent for sales, which I have subsequently had plenty of room to develop. Today I am in charge of sales, purchasing and servicing large customers.
